It claims that Facebook accessed 50 million Facebook users’ data without their permission.
The co-founder of WhatsApp’s Brian Acton tweeted. He is telling everyone to “delete Facebook“.
Also, Facebook acquired WhatsApp in 2014, for $19 billion. Acton continued to be associated with Facebook after the sale. But he is soon going to start another company Signal Foundation.
Facebook’s shares fell 7 percent just after reports regarding data breach came. The British firm Cambridge Analytica, a consultant, for now, US President Donald Trump’s Presidential campaign used data.
The data which includes user likes, inappropriately obtained from Facebook users. This is to try and influence the elections held in November 2016.
